The USS Indianapolis (CA-35) was commissioned at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on 15 November 1932. On 30 July 1945, while sailing from Guam to Leyte, Indianapolis was torpedoed by Japanese submarine I-58. Tamiya is proud to add this legendary ship to the 1/700 Waterline Series. *Model features sharp recreation of armaments including three 20.3cm main guns, the 12.7cm high altitude gun, and the 40mm anti-aircraft guns. Turrets incorporate poly-caps allowing rotation even after completion of model.
